The land on which Hickory Hills now stands was originally a tobacco farm owned by the Seres family. The first model home opened in 1986. During that first year, 35 homes were sold and building commenced for Phase 1, with the first street being aptly named Seres Drive. Between 1987 and 1991, Phases 2 to 4 were built.
